Pirelli Eco Technology, founded in 1997 as Cam Tecnologie, since 2000, has developed Gecam™, the white diesel. Gecam™ is the first low environmental impact fuel produced in Italy which ensures reduction in the polluting emissions typical of diesel engine vehicles and thermal power plants (fine particles – yielding about 50% reduction-, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide).

Pirelli research, in collaboration with other partners of excellence, like JRC Ispra and the most important Italian and European university, since 2004, has developed new and innovative technologies, under the FEELPURE™ brand, to solve the problems deriving from diesel engine emissions:

• FEELPURE™ DPF technology: suitable for the diverse needs of the transport world, from the liquid catalyser (FEELPURE™ FBC) to aided regeneration (FEELPURE™ AR), to the platinum catalyser (FEELPURE™ Platinum) reduce particulate matter (PM) over 95% and particles numbers up to 99,7 %.
• FEELPURE™ SCR-DPF technology: the greenest solution to also cut down nitrogen oxides (FEELPURE™ DOWNOX™).
