FEELPURE™ Platinum, the Pirelli’s new anti-particulate system, replaces the iron based liquid catalyser with a platinum coated DOC mounted in front of the filtering cartridge in recrystallized silicon carbide.

• Emission values of NOX do not exceed the corresponding values of the vehicle’s starting EURO class.

• With FEELPURE™ Platinum  you are able to meet the demands for stage 3/4 of the London LEZ without having to trade in your old vehicle.

FEELPURE™ Platinum is a wall flow DPF system with continuous regeneration strategy. The use of a platinum coated DOC mounted in front of the filtering cartridge in recrystallized silicon carbide and the optimized filtering cartridge sizing, ensure the best operating performances of the vehicle and minimize the maintenance need for the filtering system itself.

The system is composed of:

• Muffler (exhaust device) made of stainless steel, housing  a wall flow filtering body in porous silicon carbide, ensuring the best performances in terms of thermal shock resistance and long life endurance;
• Control system of exhaust backpressure with alarm warning inside the vehicle on the dashboard with relevant wiring and connections (the backpressure alarm is set to the value of the maximum backpressure admissible by the engine)
• A catalyst, characterized by a platinum coated honeycomb structure that increases the oxidation power of exhaust gases and permits the regeneration/combustion of the particulate collected in the filter starting from temperatures of 250 °C.

FEELPURE™ PLATINUM environment performances match the strictest air quality legislations currently existing in Europe:

• Emission values of Particulate are reduced up to 99.7% PN (Particles Number, JRC Ispra source) and by over 95% PM (Particulater Matters) (Source: JRC of Ispra -  Joint Research Centre of the European Community);
• Emission values of Hydrocarbons (HC) are reduced by over 95% and Carbon Monoxide (CO) by over 75%.
• Emission values of NOX do not exceed the corresponding values of the vehicle’s starting EURO class.

Above mentioned results for the environment have been certified by Italian Minister of Transport, the Transport for London (TfL) and the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA).

 

Approved for the UK market by TfL (LEC) and VCA and for the Italian market by the Minister of Transport.

Pirelli is accredited supplier for the stage 3&4 of London LEZ.

Pirelli has developed STANDARD SYSTEMS that can be simply adapted to the vehicle in place of the original muffler and BESPOKE SYSTEMS  i.e. for MERCEDES O404_0350, SETRA 315HD, etc.

Pirelli offers also spare parts for FEELPURE™ PLATINUM  and a cleaning service for the cartridges integrated in the FEELPURE™ systems.
