Sustainable transport

Since the UNO Conference in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, sustainable development has become a key concept in today's world. Pirelli Eco Technology responds with concrete solutions.

Like Gecam and Feelpure, which contain environmental impact in terms of:

1. Fine particles:
   
   • TRACTION:
     Gecam reduces more then 50% of PM in coaches and heavy transport vehicles;
     The particulate filters filter 95% of PM on all Diesel engines;
   • HEATING
     Gecam is applicable to public and private condominiums, reducing the PM emissions of diesel fuelled heating system emissions by 50%;
     
2. HC: The Feelpure DPF systems filter any release of HC, generating clearer and healthier water, especially in inland water courses (large lakes, ports);
   
3. CO2/NO2: our particulate filters do not increase the emissions of CO2/NO2.

Thanks to the installation of Pirelli DPF Systems, most of the Diesel vehicles for commercial transport, heavy duty, turistic (autobus) and municipal (buses and cleaning), can reduce the PM emission levels below the limits required from the local adminitrations.
