Environmental Results

Numerous centres of excellence in the fields of research, engine certification and emissions have confirmed the environmental benefits of Gecam™ (Riccardo Consulting Engineers Ltd (UK), TTM-University of Biel (CH), European Institute of Oncology (I), Iveco, Man, Deutz, etc.).

More recently, the environmental benefits of Gecam™ transport have also been certified by Eni Technologie (on Iveco Cursor Euro 3 buses owned by Milan's public transport authority on a real urban cycle - central line 61) and by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre - JRC in Ispra (on an Iveco Euro 3 engine on a European Stationary Cycle - ESC).

The results of tests conducted have confirmed reductions of over 50% of particulate matters emissions (PM), of 5-6% of nitrogen oxide (NOx), and over 30% of carbon monoxide (CO).

In the heating sector, Gecam™ has been tested by the major burner manufacturers (Riello and Baltur), by the Municipal Authority of Milan in cooperation with the Stazione Sperimentale per i Combustibili (Experimental Fuel Station) and by SGS Ecologia.
