Oxidation catalyst
The oxidation catalyst can reduce the CO and HC emissions related to diesel engines.

It's made of a metallic honey-comb structure which can be positioned upstream or downstream the filter cartridge inside of the muffler:
  • it's easily removable;
  • it allows the best trade-off between high contact surface between exhaust gases and metallic support together with a little volume and low head losses;
  • high resistance to thermal shock;
  • low thermal inertial.
